My family recycles all possible materials in the name of sustainability and environmental concern. We always have more recycling than trash. I could fill 1 recycling container weekly, no problem, and would be happy to give up weekly trash collection for bi-weekly service. Maybe there is a way for families committed to sustainability to opt into increased recyclable collection and decreased trash collection, allow those who generate more waste or less recycling to keep the status-quo as well. I feel like my bi - weekly trips to drop recyclables off at the Madison drop off location (I still own property there) is not a carbon friendly way to deal with this issue.

At this time it is the prop. owners right to entice, trap and kill squirrels/chipmunks. This is cruel and senseless.

Creation of a Monona Wildlife Management Code/Ordinance
At this time it is the prop. owners right to entice, trap and kill squirrels/chipmunks. This is cruel and senseless.
DID YOU KNOW
Several other communities in WI of similar demographic, have ordinances concerning this issue as well as the destruction of bird nests. ( Green Bay, Eau Claire, Oshkosh for a few)
As wildlife becomes more and more frequent in our urban society, we need to be proactive and respectful.
DID YOU KNOW
Monona is a "Bird City", we need to promote and protect local and migratory birds.
If this is an issue that concerns you or that you feel is important to the betterment of our community and natural resources. I implore you to speak with any or all Alders and the Mayor.

A Monona Splash Pad addition to the Monona Pool would make it far more useful for the families with younger children.

With all of the concerts we've had and hopefully more to come...a music venue with space and acoustics designed for outdoor performances would be a great addition to the park

Have an annual car show during the July 4 festivities to help facilitate bringing in more people, bringing in more money to the area businesses, and adding to the fun things to do in town.
