Community Listening Session on the City's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Report

Thursday, November 30, 2023

Public Informational Meeting and Public Comment

As part of the city’s ongoing work to create a more welcoming community where all feel truly at home, a group of citizens, elected leaders, and city staff, with guidance from the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development (, have been working on the next phase of the city’s first-ever report on diversity and equity issues, which is the prioritization and implementation of the recommendations identified within.  A copy of the plan is available at:

The DEIB Report Implementation Committee would like to invite all community members to a second listening session to be held on November 30, at 6:00-7:30 PM, at the Monona Public Library’s municipal room on the lower level.

The purpose of this event is to share what we’ve been working on, the priorities we’ve identified from the report and to make space for community members to speak and share their wishes and concerns. All are welcome!
