All staff have experience in working with children, are CPR/First Aid certified and participate in regular training.
Children are supervised at all times and are not permitted to leave the program unless they are signed out by an authorized adult or provide an alternative arrival/release form to bike/walk to program.
For the protection of everyone in our camp community, all Camp staff are mandated by the state of WI and trained as mandatory reporters. Just like teachers at school, if a counselor hears or observes any indication that there may be physical, emotional, or any other kind of abuse going on with a camper, we must report this to Child Protective Services. It is not our job to investigate or determine if the allegation is true or not. We serve as a relay station for information to protect the best interests of the campers who are entrusted to us. Our campers’ emotional and physical well-being and sense of personal safety is our number one concern.
Payments and Refunds
We carefully plan each session of camp for maximum fun. We understand that your schedule may change but our staffing and snack arrangements are finalized based on the enrolled registration attendance. With that in mind, please read our refund policies carefully.
There will be a $10 administrative charge deducted from any refunds. No refunds are given once a class or program has started. There are no prorated fees for registering after a program has begun.
There are no fee reductions or reimbursements for absences due to illness, family emergencies, vacation, COVID quarantine*, unexpected visits from relatives or for any other reason. Please note, the no refund policy also includes emergency weather closures.
Monona Parks & Recreation offers a limited amount of partial scholarships to help get your kids to camp! Scholarships are open to all individuals and families in need of financial help, however scholarship awards are not guaranteed and are first come/first serve.
