CAMP REGISTRATION FOR 2024 OPENS FEB 15, 2024*:
*Non-resident registration opens 3/1/2024
Recognizing that this age group still needs plenty of support and supervision, campers begin and end each day in smaller groups routinely checking-in with a dedicated group and counselor. This program provides a nurturing setting to introduce campers to activities in each of our program areas and encourage them to try new things and discover hidden talents with ample support from staff. Our activity blocks will ensure a dynamic schedule with plenty of opportunities to try the various program areas that camp has to offer. This consistent social setting encourages respectful interactions with peers and strong connections with counselors.
Please remember that your camper will have the best experience if you prepare him/her to have a great experience, and if you prepare us. Camp is held outdoors, please carefully evaluate if your child will enjoy participating in a program outdoors for 8 hours a day. The more information that you share with us about your camper’s health (physical, emotional, mental, personal history, unique behavior plans), the better we can prepare to meet their needs. By communicating and working together we will provide the best possible experience for your camper.
Kindercamp is a camp for little ones eager to get a taste of camp, but not quite old enough for the all day outdoor adventures. This program is a mix of indoor/outdoor exploration. Each session uses themes and age appropriate activities to help children develop academically, grow socially, master skills, make friends, and have fun. Camp days include special emphasis on a theme with activities, stories, crafts, and free play. All Kinder Campers must be potty-trained, and have completed 4K.

Payments and Refunds
We carefully plan each session of camp for maximum fun. We understand that your schedule may change but our staffing and snack arrangements are finalized based on the enrolled registration attendance. With that in mind, please read our refund policies carefully.
The deposit of $10.00 per week is required at the time of application and is non-refundable/non-transferable. All deposits made at time of registration are nonrefundable. Deposits are not transferable between siblings and deposits are only transferable to another session if space is available. Deposits may not be transferred to the balance of fees for another session in which another deposit has been paid. Any changes or cancellations/refund request must be received via email (jpeterson@ci.monona.wi.us) at least two weeks prior to the session start date or payment date. For cancellations prior to May 15, all funds will be refunded or cancelled other than the weekly deposit fee. After May 15, 50% of the camp fee is refundable up to the 14 day window before your camp week begins. Seven days before a week begins, or partial attendance of a week will result in no refund.
We will do our best to accommodate any weekly changes requested but cannot guarantee availability. If a family is facing financial hardship due to COVID quarantine requests or from their income, they may ask Monona Parks & Recreation to defer their payments to a later date that is agreed upon between both parties. Failure to pay any deferred payments will results in removal from program and/or additional consequences put forth by the city of Monona.
There will be no fee reduction or reimbursement for absences due to illness, family emergencies, vacation, COVID quarantine*, unexpected visits from relatives or for any other reason. Please note, the no refund policy also includes emergency weather closures.
Monona Parks & Recreation reserves the right to terminate the contract of a family who does not comply with the rules and regulations set forth by the family handbook, addendums or for any other reasons that may negatively impact Monona Parks & Recreation or its employees.
