Camp Winnequah & KinderCamp

CAMP REGISTRATION FOR 2023 OPENS FEB 15, 2023*:
*Non-resident registration opens 3/15/2023

Camp Winnequah

Recognizing that this age group still needs plenty of support and supervision, campers begin and end each day in smaller groups routinely checking-in with a dedicated group and counselor. This program provides a nurturing setting to introduce campers to activities in each of our program areas and encourage them to try new things and discover hidden talents with ample support from staff. Our activity blocks will ensure a dynamic schedule with plenty of opportunities to try the various program areas that camp has to offer. This consistent social setting encourages respectful interactions with peers and strong connections with counselors.

Please remember that your camper will have the best experience if you prepare him/her to have a great experience, and if you prepare us. Camp is held outdoors, please carefully evaluate if your child will enjoy participating in a program outdoors for 8 hours a day.  The more information that you share with us about your camper’s health (physical, emotional, mental, personal history, unique behavior plans), the better we can prepare to meet their needs. By communicating and working together we will provide the best possible experience for your camper.

Kindercamp

Kindercamp is a camp for little ones eager to get a taste of camp, but not quite old enough for the all day outdoor adventures. This program is a mix of indoor/outdoor exploration. Each session uses themes and age appropriate activities to help children develop academically, grow socially, master skills, make friends, and have fun. Camp days include special emphasis on a theme with activities, stories, crafts, and free play. All Kinder Campers must be potty-trained, and have completed 4K.

Please be in touch with Jensen, the camp director (jpeterson@ci.monona.wi.us) if:

  • You don’t know if camp is a good fit for your child;
  • There are special health considerations or information about the child’s history that may impact their camp experience;
  • You would like more information about camp programs;
  • You have questions or concerns about your camper’s experience once camp has begun.
