Snowman Show

Everyone is invited to participate in Monona’s inaugural “Snowman Show”. Design a snowman or snowman scene depicting anything you can dream up, the use of bright colors and unique materials is encouraged. Snow is tricky to come by, so it is not required for you to make your snowman but it can certainly be used if it is available. We want to see how creative you can get with or without the snow! The more people that participate, the more fun this contest will be!

Individuals, families, businesses and organizations are encouraged to enter.

All entries will receive 1 top hat, 1 carrot, a scarf and 1 Snowman Show sign. A story of the snowman display and display title, along with your Snowman Show sign are required at each display.

Entries will be displayed on your personal lawn, business property, or in Winnequah Park January 23 – January 31. Entries will be judged on originality, quality, and design. All registration and story entries must be received by 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13 to be entered into the contest. Supply pick-up will be held in the Dream Park Parking Lot on Saturday, January 16 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

Your work will be displayed outdoors so please use sturdy materials. Snowmen must be durable and able to stand up to Wisconsin’s weather, including sun, wind, snow and rain. Use care in choosing your materials.

The public will judge the Snowmen and vote online.

Categories include Best Business Display, Best Residential Display, Best Snowman Story and FAN FAVORITE.  Winners will be contacted directly and announced on the Monona Parks & Recreation Facebook page.
