The Parent-Tot class is a level unique to all seasons. This class allows parents to experience their young child's first steps on the ice right alongside them. In this class, skaters will learn the very basics of ice skating.
Children will be taught basic skating maneuvers such as falling down, getting backup, as well as the initial steps towards skating.
The class will incorporate various games and other activities suited for children of a young age that their parents/guardians can also participate in.
Parents should have some skating experience. Parent tot classes are available for children between the ages of 3 & 4 yrs old.
These beginning classes allow children with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the basic skins of skating.
These classes are designed to help children develop the ABCs of movement - agility, balance, coordination and speed.
The ABCs are essential for developing fundamental movement skills and physical literacy. All classes will be taught In a safe and positive environment, incorporating fun and games, making class time an enjoyable experience for all skaters.
This class is intended for first-time hockey players. Please note, this is NOT a Learn to Skate program. Kids who do not have skating experience should take skating lessons prior to their first Intro to Hockey session. Equipment provided.
