Sawyer Crossen Memorial Triathlon
 JUNE 5TH, 2010 WINNEQUAH PARK
The Sawyer Crossen Memorial Triathlon will be a fun event promoting physical fitness, family, and community and will raise money for a scholarship named for Sawyer that will follow his school years from 4K to 12th grade.
In 2010, a scholarship will be awarded to 4K teachers to purchase needed items in Sawyer’s name so that he can be a small part of that class. Each successive year the money will go to the next grade-level teachers until the 12th grade. In 2024 our intention is to award a graduating senior a scholarship to be used for his or her continued education. The other part of the scholarship money will be donated to the Monona Recreation Department to sponsor events or to keep costs down so more kids are able to participate. Our family is excited about the prospect of hundreds of kids wearing Sawyer’s name on their T-shirts and each year being able to present a check to his teachers.
