Swim Lessons
The Monona Parks & Recreation Department will offer five two-week sessions of swimming lessons this summer at the outdoor pool. There are eight classes per session each 40 minutes long (Paddlin’ Penguins 30 minutes). Please note the course prerequisites to determine the right class for your child. Students can only be switched between classes if space is available based on student to teacher ratios.

Registration Information
Register as early as possible as most classes and sessions fill up quickly. Please read the course descriptions to help you place your child in the correct level. Participants may be moved up or down a level (as space allows) according to their ability if they are not accurately placed. According to the American Red Cross, most children will need at least two sessions of a particular level before being promoted (especially levels 1 & 2). If you are registering for multiple sessions, we recommend registering for two sessions of the same level.
Refunds will only be given if cancellation is made two weeks prior to the start of a session. We may cancel classes due to low enrollment. If we have to cancel a class, we will notify any registrants and give them the opportunity to register for another class or get a ful refund.
