 The Monona Parks and Recreation Department offers racks for canoers and kayakers to store their boats.
The racks are located in three parks in Monona:
Frostwoods Beach (5800 block of Winnequah Road)
Lottes Park (West Broadway and Interlake Drive, next to Rutabaga)
Schluter Beach Park (4500 block of Winnequah Road)
Spaces on each rack can be leased for the boating season (May1-Oct.31). Fees for leasing the spaces are $60/season for Monona residents and $150/season for non-Monona residents.
Spaces for the 2010 boating season will be available for lease to Monona residents beginning January 4, 2010 at 8:30 am. (Non-residents can begin leasing spaces on Feb. 1, 2010). To lease a space, please stop by the Park and Recreation Office on the first floor of the Community Center Building (1011 Nichols Road) or call us at (608) 222-4167. Spaces are leased on a first-come, first-served basis.
