Winnequah Park/Dream Park Shelter
Our newest shelter is a beautiful facility featuring restrooms, a fireplace, a sink and small countertop area for serving food, overhead glass doors that can be opened or closed for protection from the weather, views of the lagoon, and easy access to the adjacent Dream Park playground. The interior of the shelter can accommodate up to 50 people while the surronding grounds can support much larger groups. This shelter has about 15 picnic tables around the shelter area.
Winnequah Park/Fireman's Park Shelter
The Fireman's Park Shelter is located in the northern-most corner of Winnequah
Park, at the intersection of Winnequah Road and Progressive Drive. The shelter is an open-air facility, with restrooms located in a separate building about 20 yards from the shelter building. The shelter building includes 10-12 picnic tables and several permanent grills. Fireman's Park also offers a children's playground, sand volleyball court, softball diamond, and off-street parking lot.
Winnequah Park Gazebo
Winnequah Park also offers a gazebo for smaller gatherings. Located near the shore of the lagoon, the picturesque gazebo is located just across the park from the Dream Park. It makes a lovely spot for a small bridal or baby shower, or a quick birthday celebration. Restrooms at the Winnequah Park Dream Park shelter are easilty accessible.
Oneida Park Shelter
Oneida Park, located at the triangle of Neponset, Tecumseh, and Winnequah
Trail, offers a small shelter building, perfect for groups under 40 people. The shelter is an open-air facility, with about five picnic tables. Restrooms are located in a separate building within 30 yards of the shelter building. Oneida Park also offers children's playground equipment, a sand volleyball court, and a large open space for games and activities.
Ahuska Park Shelter
Ahuska Park, located at 400 E. Broadway, offers a newer open-air shelter with plenty of countertops and electric outlets to serve food. The shelter building contains its own restrooms, and the park provides a large parking lot. Ahuska Park also offers a baseball diamond, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, children's playground equipment, and soccer fields.
