Plan Commission

The Monona Plan Commission wrote a Comprehensive Plan for the City of Monona, which the City Council adopted in April of 2004.  The Comprehensive Plan includes elements on housing, transportation, utilities and community facilities, natural and cultural resources, economic development, intergovermental cooperation, land use, and plan implementation.  

The Commission also reviews applications for zoning permits for all districts except the single-family residence district and the two-family residence district.  The Commission shall grant or deny such applications, and shall direct the Zoning Administrator to issue or refuse to issue zoning permits under the City's Zoning Code.

The  Commission meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Media Room on the lower level of the Monona Public Library.
