Finance and Personnel Committee

The Finance and Personnel Committee reviews and supervises implementation of Audior's recommendations; investigates options for borrowing funds for capital and outlay expenditures; recommends depositories for City funds; reviews claims against the City; reviews accounting procedures; reviews ordinances and resolutions having a fiscal impact on the City; receives and reviews the annual budget from the Mayor and City Administrator and proposes a legislative budget to the City Council; reviews recommendations for revenue generation, including investment of City funds; reviews intergovernmental contracts; reviews all personnel matters, including establishment of wage and salary schedules for management and unclassified employess; and reviews all labor contracts and labor relations policies of the City.

The Committee meets the first and third Monday of each month, usually at 6:30 p.m., in the Community Media Room on the lower level of the Monona Public Library.  During the summer months (May-August), the Committee meets only on the first Monday of each month.
