| | Community Development Authority
The Community Development Authority (CDA) is a separate political body that was created for the purpose of carrying out blight elimination, slum clearance, urban renewal programs and projects, and housing projects. The resolution creating the CDA authorizes the Authority to act as the City's agent in planning and carrying out community development programs and activities. These programs and activities must be approved by the Mayor and City Council under the Federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. The CDA is authorized to act as an agent for all development programs except the development of the City's Comprehensive Plan, which is overseen by the Plan Commission.
The CDA's regular meeting date is on the fourth Tuesday of each month and on an "as needed" basis.

The CDA has just finished accepting applications for its second round of funding. Future rounds of funding are unknown at this time and are dependent on the availability of funds.
Materials and applications are also available at Monona City Hall. Questions about the program can be directed to City Administrator Patrick Marsh at 222-2525 or pmarsh@ci.monona.wi.us.
