The mission of the Monona Senior Center is to provide Senior Citizens with educational, social, recreational, health and fitness programs and opportunities. We strive to enhance the dignity, support the independence and enrich the quality of life of older adults. The Monona Senior Center is proof that retirement and aging can be filled with fun, friends, and new experiences!
The Monona Senior Center began as a senior club in 1979, and its first home was a room in Winnequah Middle School. In 1986, the Center moved to the Monona Public Library and, in 1993, the Center moved to the ground level of the Monona Community Center.
