On April 6, 2009, Department of Natural Resources Secretary Matt Frank announced new actions the WDNR will be taking in collaboration with local communities to reduce the impact of flooding in the Yahara Chain of Lakes in Dane County. During the previous week, the WDNR issued draw down orders for Stoughton and Kegonsa waters as part of the 'pro-active' plan to alleviate immediate and long term flood potential for the Dane County system.
