AARP Safe Driving Course

The March 26th Course will be rescheduled to a later day.

The AARP Smart Driver Safety Program is an updated classroom course.  It is research based to help older drivers become more aware of changes that occur due to aging (vision, hearing and reaction time) and how to adjust accordingly.  The four hour class will be offered at the Monona Senior Center on the dates listed above.

The course covers topics such as:
- Defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road
- How to deal with aggressive drivers
- How medications may affect driving
- How to safely use anti-lock brakes, air bags and safety belts
- How to minimize distractions, including cell phone use, while driving
- Navigating round-abouts

Stay tuned for update information.
