Children Trophy (1)
The Library Summer Reading Program is one of the most effective ways to keep children reading during the summer to help prevent the "summer slide" phenomenon.
Experts recommend reading or listening to books at least 15 to 20 minutes every day to maintain or increase reading skills over the summer. Last year we had nearly 1200 participants in the reading program. Support from the business community is crucial to the staging of the summer program and the operations of almost every event and activity offered to families. Engaging with books every day encourages reading to become a daily habit.
